Gerald Huang is a managing director on the Apollo Public Policy Team. As part of the Public Policy team, he works on government and regulatory affairs on both the company and investment levels. Prior to joining Apollo in 2021, Gerald served on the Senate Banking Committee as well as Economic Policy Advisor to Senator David Perdue from Georgia. Previous to his service in the United States Senate, he served in several positions within the Georgia state government including the legal counsel to the president pro tempore of the Georgia State Senate and deputy counsel in the Georgia governor’s office.


Gerald graduated from Emory University with a BA degree in international studies and holds a Juris Doctorate from the Emory University School of Law.
